Role Description The Process Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Thoothukudi, responsible for overseeing day-to-day pigment production activities on the shop floor. The role includes monitoring process parameters, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures, and coordinating with production staff to meet quality and output targets. The Process Supervisor will allocate tasks, track shift performance, and ensure safety and housekeeping standards are maintained. This position also focuses on identifying process issues, implementing improvements, and supporting training for team members to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime. Regular reporting on production metrics and effective communication with management and cross-functional teams are key aspects of the role.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team coordination, performance monitoring, and shift management.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Process Optimization capabilities to evaluate production data and implement improvements.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact with operators, maintenance teams, and management.
Candidates should possess Training skills to guide, mentor, and upskill production staff on processes and safety.
Relevant experience in manufacturing or chemical/pigment production environments is beneficial.
Diploma or degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field is preferred.
Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control practices, and basic computer proficiency for reporting is advantageous.
Ability to work in a shift-based environment and handle on-site operational challenges is important.
