Senior Retail Implementation & Delivery Lead (Fashion & Apparel)

About the Role
Onebeat helps retailers improve inventory decisions and business performance. We are looking for an experienced delivery leader with deep fashion and apparel retail expertise to own customer implementation projects from discovery and scoping through go-live, stabilization, and adoption.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role with direct accountability for project execution and delivery. You will turn business requirements into actionable implementation plans, coordinate customer and internal teams, resolve blockers, and drive milestones to completion. Success is measured by implementations delivered against agreed scope, timelines, quality standards, and business outcomes.
What You Will Do
Reporting to the VP of Customer Success & Delivery, you will guide customers from business discovery through implementation, go-live, and ongoing optimization. Success requires a deep understanding of retail operations, strong knowledge of retail software, and the ability to lead complex projects through cross-functional collaboration.
Own end-to-end delivery of retail software implementations, from discovery and kickoff through configuration, testing, training, go-live, and stabilization.
Build and manage project plans covering scope, milestones, owners, dependencies, resource needs, and acceptance criteria. Track progress and hold stakeholders accountable for commitments.
Proactively identify risks, remove blockers, manage scope changes, and drive decisions. Escalate issues early with clear options and recovery plans to keep projects moving.
Lead customer and internal project meetings, maintain action and decision tracking, and communicate progress, risks, and next steps clearly to operational teams and senior stakeholders.
Partner closely with Sales on discovery, solution workshops, tailored demonstrations, and scoping. Validate delivery assumptions and ensure a clear handoff from pre-sales to implementation.
Understand customers’ planning, merchandising, allocation, replenishment, and inventory processes; translate them into functional requirements, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
Work closely with Product to validate capabilities, address functional gaps, and align delivery dependencies; bring customer insights and retail expertise into product improvements.
Coordinate technical teams on data mapping, migration, integrations, and validation. Guide functional configuration and validate outputs against real retail scenarios.
Own readiness for user acceptance testing, training, and go-live. Drive issue resolution, customer sign-off, post-launch stabilization, and adoption within daily planning and inventory workflows.
Requirements
Strong, proven implementation and delivery experience is essential. You have personally led complex retail software projects through go-live and can demonstrate ownership of plans, timelines, dependencies, issue resolution, and customer acceptance.
A track record of driving execution across customer, product, and technical teams, following through on commitments, and recovering projects when delivery is at risk.
Deep expertise in fashion and apparel retail, gained through merchandise planning, allocation, replenishment, inventory management, or hands-on retail technology delivery.
Strong working knowledge of retail planning and inventory platforms and their connections with merchandising, ERP, and other retail systems.
A solid understanding of merchandise financial planning, open-to-buy, assortment planning, demand forecasting, allocation, and replenishment, including seasonality, size and color, markdowns, and inventory productivity.
Experience working directly with customers on solution discovery, implementation, training, and adoption, with the ability to manage expectations and drive decisions.
The ability to independently own delivery as an individual contributor and influence senior retail executives, planners, product teams, and technical teams without direct reporting authority.
Strong project management, analytical, communication, and facilitation skills, with a practical approach to solving problems and moving work forward.
Experience That Would Be Especially Valuable
A background combining in-house retail planning or merchandising with implementation delivery at a retail software provider or consulting firm.
Experience supporting omnichannel or multi-brand retail operations.
Experience contributing retail domain expertise to product design and supporting pre-sales demonstrations or solution workshops.
