Outreach Partner

Platform Commons is looking for a field-based professional to join our village development program - an Outreach Partner, working within our Field Engagement & Operations model.
📍 Location: Sri Sathya Sai District, Andhra Pradesh (Field-based)
About the role
You'll work hand-in-hand with village communities to help them shape and drive their own development journey, facilitating a citizen-led, five-step process:
🔹 Building Awareness — drawing on other villages' successes to inspire local ownership
🔹 Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) — on-ground assessment of resources, infrastructure and constraints
🔹 Village Development Plan — co-creating a detailed, DPR-style development plan
🔹 Resource Mobilisation — accessing government schemes, CSR funding, crowdfunding and skill-based support
🔹 Execution — supporting implementation and strengthening the plan over successive cycles
Who we're looking for
Graduate, or in the final stages of graduating
Proficiency in the local language + working knowledge of English
Must possess a personal vehicle, given the field-intensive nature of the role
Background in NGOs, NCC, NSS or the social service sector preferred, but freshers are welcome — prior experience is not required
What we offer
A full-time role with genuine responsibility from day one — working directly with communities, government stakeholders and internal teams, and staying involved from planning through to on-ground execution. Compensation is discussed during the interview based on role fit and experience, along with a travel allowance for field-based work.
