Role Description The Hotel General Manager at Nikhara Resort is a full-time, on-site role based in India, responsible for overseeing all daily hotel operations. This includes managing staff across departments, coordinating front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance activities, and ensuring consistent, high-quality guest service. The General Manager monitors occupancy, revenue, and expenses, manages budgets, and implements business strategies to increase profitability. The role involves supervising vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and maintaining the resort’s brand and service guidelines. The General Manager also handles guest feedback and escalations, supports staff training and development, and works closely with ownership to set and achieve operational and financial goals.
Qualifications
Strong General Management and Business Management skills to oversee hotel operations and drive performance.
Excellent Customer Service capabilities to manage guest relations, resolve issues, and uphold service standards.
Solid Budgeting experience to plan, monitor, and control costs, revenue, and financial targets.
Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations to supervise restaurant, bar, and banquet services effectively.
Previous experience in hotel or resort management, preferably in India or similar markets.
Ability to lead diverse teams, delegate tasks, and coach staff for continuous improvement.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
