Role Description The Human Resources Manager will oversee day-to-day HR operations, including managing employee lifecycle activities such as onboarding, offboarding, and changes in employment status. This part-time, remote role is responsible for administering HR policies, supporting performance management processes, and advising leaders on employee relations matters. The Human Resources Manager will coordinate recruitment efforts, partner with hiring managers to identify role requirements, and help ensure a smooth hiring experience. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate HR records, supporting compliance with employment laws and company policies, and promoting an inclusive, positive workplace culture. The role may also involve contributing to HR projects, such as policy updates, training initiatives, and process improvements.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in core HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.
Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices, with the ability to apply them in a practical, business-focused way.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with leadership, team members, and cross-functional partners in a remote environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and use sound judgment in sensitive situations.
Experience with HRIS or HR-related software, and proficiency with common office tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, and virtual collaboration platforms).
Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or a similar fast-paced industry is beneficial but not required.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
