Role Description The Accountant role at Ameer Iron & Steels is a full-time, on-site position based in Vizianagaram. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial accounting, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank and vendor accounts. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, tracking receivables and payables, assisting with payroll calculations, and supporting monthly and annual closing activities. The role also involves preparing basic financial reports, supporting tax and compliance filings, and coordinating with internal teams and external auditors when required. The Accountant is expected to maintain accurate records, follow established accounting standards, and contribute to process improvements in the finance function.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and ledger management.
Ability to prepare and review invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable, and perform bank reconciliations.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally or equivalent), spreadsheets, and MS Office tools.
Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong numerical and analytical skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Ability to work on-site in Vizianagaram, manage daily workloads, and meet reporting deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field; relevant experience in manufacturing or trading industries is an advantage.
Understanding of basic tax concepts, statutory compliance, and support for audits is beneficial.
