Role Description The Design Engineer will work on-site in Chhatral in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design and development of equipment and components for pharmaceutical and process applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and modifying detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and layouts; collaborating with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure integrated product design; and preparing design documentation and specifications for manufacturing and assembly. The role involves reviewing requirements, performing basic calculations and checks for performance and safety, supporting prototype builds and testing, and providing technical input to production and quality teams. The Design Engineer will also participate in design reviews, suggest improvements to existing products, and ensure designs comply with relevant standards and customer expectations.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Design Engineering and Product Design, with the ability to translate requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions.
Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles, including materials, mechanisms, and basic strength and tolerance considerations.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drafting and 3D modeling, and familiarity with drawing standards.
Understanding of Electrical Engineering aspects relevant to equipment design, such as basic circuitry integration and component selection.
Relevant degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a closely related field.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and standards, and prepare clear engineering reports and documentation.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work both independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
Experience in pharmaceutical, process, or industrial equipment design is an advantage, along with familiarity with safety and regulatory considerations.
