Company Description Automotive Manufacturers Private Limited (AMPL), founded in 1948, is a long-established automotive dealer and distributor under the leadership of the Sanghvi family. The company began as the main dealer for Leyland Motors, UK, and assembled around 2,000 vehicles at its Kurla facility between 1949 and 1955. Over the decades, AMPL expanded its portfolio to market vehicles from Ashok Leyland and Mahindra across key states such as Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Gujarat. In 1986, the company added Maruti Suzuki dealerships in Maharashtra, later extending to Nagpur, Aurangabad, and Nasik, along with Kobelco in construction equipment. Since 2007, AMPL has also represented the Audi brand in Andhra Pradesh, offering fresh talent exposure to diverse automotive and premium vehicle segments.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fresher role based in Chennai. The role involves supporting daily operations across sales, customer service, and basic administrative activities within the dealership environment. Responsibilities may include assisting with customer inquiries, coordinating test drives, maintaining records and documentation, and helping prepare reports and presentations for the team. The Fresher will also support showroom and service teams with data entry, follow-ups, and basic logistics coordination, while learning standard processes and product information. Training and guidance will be provided to help the individual develop foundational skills in automotive retail and customer-facing operations.
Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email.
Ability to learn quickly, follow structured processes, and pay attention to detail in documentation and data entry.
Customer-oriented mindset with a professional attitude and willingness to assist in sales and service activities.
Educational qualification: diploma or bachelor’s degree in any discipline (commerce, business, engineering, or related fields preferred).
Ability to work on-site in Chennai, adapt to a fast-paced automotive environment, and collaborate within a team.
Interest in the automotive sector and readiness to build a career in dealership operations or customer service.
