CTO / Technical Co-Founder – DUPES
DUPES is an AI-powered Social Commerce platform designed to transform the way people discover and shop for products online turning any image, screenshot, or piece of digital content into a starting point for purchase.
We are looking for a CTO / Technical Co-Founder with significant experience in software development, AI, and building technology products end-to-end someone who wants to play a meaningful role in building the company, not simply execute development tasks.
We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, strong execution capabilities, and the ambition to take full ownership of DUPES’ technology, leading it from its current stage into a scalable global platform.
The Role
• Lead the entire technology side of the company and make key decisions regarding architecture, infrastructure, AI, and engineering.
• Work directly with the Founder & CEO on product strategy and translate the company’s vision into a high-performing product.
• Build and continuously improve the Web/Mobile application and backend infrastructure.
• Design a stable and scalable architecture capable of supporting large volumes of users, images, searches, and products.
• Develop and improve DUPES’ Visual Search engine.
• Work with Computer Vision to identify multiple products within a single image.
• Implement Object Detection, Image Segmentation, and Product Recognition.
• Build pipelines that accurately isolate individual products from images and analyze them independently.
• Integrate AI and Vision models to identify product categories, colors, cuts, materials, patterns, brands, models, and additional product attributes.
• Work with Embeddings, Vector Search, and Similarity Search to identify exact and visually similar products.
• Integrate search engines, APIs, brand catalogs, retailers, and Affiliate Networks.
• Develop Product Matching, Ranking, and Recommendation systems.
• Build Social Commerce infrastructure, including feeds, user and creator profiles, content uploads, likes, comments, follows, and product tagging.
• Build analytics systems to measure user behavior and product performance.
• Develop and maintain the Vendor Dashboard and Admin Dashboard.
• Manage Authentication, Databases, Cloud Infrastructure, Security, and APIs.
• Build infrastructure capable of eventually supporting millions of products and catalogs from international brands and retailers.
• Select and manage AI and cloud providers while optimizing API and infrastructure costs.
• Establish Testing, Monitoring, Deployment, and CI/CD processes.
• As the company grows, recruit, build, and lead DUPES’ engineering team.

Experience with every technology listed above is not required. What matters most to us is a strong technical foundation, exceptional problem-solving ability, and the ability to learn, build, and make the right technical decisions.

About DUPES
DUPES is building a new commerce layer that connects Social Discovery with Online Shopping.
Users can upload an image or screenshot, identify the products within it, find the exact product or visually similar alternatives, compare prices and shipping options, and continue directly to purchase.
Our goal is to build an international Social Commerce ecosystem where images, creators, consumers, brands, and retailers come together in one seamless platform.
We are already at a stage where the product vision, market opportunity, and core concept are defined. We are now looking for the right technology leader to take a meaningful role in building the next generation of DUPES.
