The Director, Delivery & Integration Office (DDIO) is accountable for defining and evolving Dyson's Product Development operating model, ensuring the capabilities required to govern, plan, enable and continuously improve product delivery remain aligned to Dyson's strategic objectives. The role leads the Delivery & Integration Office, integrating Portfolio Operations, Product Frameworks & Governance, PLM & Engineering Excellence, and Product Development Data, Systems & Insight into a cohesive organisational capability.
Working closely with Engineering, Business Units, Finance, Global IT, Quality, Manufacturing and Product Leadership teams, the role provides strategic leadership across Product Development governance, portfolio management, engineering excellence, digital enablement and organisational transformation, enabling Dyson to deliver increasingly complex products with greater predictability, quality and efficiency.
Accountabilities
DDIO Strategy, Integration & Capability Development
Define and own the vision, strategy and multi-year roadmap for the Delivery & Integration Office.
Establish the operating model, capability architecture and governance framework that underpin Dyson's Product Development ecosystem.
Ensure the four DDIO capability organisations operate as an integrated system delivering measurable business value.
Translate business strategy into capability priorities, investment decisions and transformation outcomes.
Product Development Governance & Operating Model
Own the strategic direction of Dyson's Product Development operating model.
Ensure Product Frameworks, governance standards and delivery processes remain aligned to evolving business requirements.
Sponsor continuous improvement of governance, assurance and organisational learning capabilities.
Establish clear accountability, governance and decision-making frameworks across Product Development.
Portfolio Operations, Governance & Delivery Execution
Ensure portfolio prioritisation, governance and executive decision-support capabilities support Dyson's strategic objectives.
Oversee development and maturity of Portfolio Operations, Product Frameworks and Product Governance capabilities.
Enable informed investment, prioritisation and delivery decisions across Product Development.
Sponsor improvements that increase organisational effectiveness, governance quality and delivery performance.
Engineering Excellence. PLM & Digital Thread
Sponsor Dyson's engineering lifecycle governance, PLM strategy and digital thread evolution.
Ensure Product Development capabilities support quality, traceability, compliance and engineering excellence.
Oversee investment priorities relating to Product Lifecycle Management, engineering governance and collaboration capabilities.
Champion future digital engineering and systems engineering practices.
Data, Systems, Insight & Digital Enablement
Sponsor Dyson's Product Development data, systems, reporting and digital enablement strategy.
Ensure trusted information, scalable business platforms and actionable insight support Product Development decision-making.
Oversee development of Product Development data architecture, analytics, reporting and digital capabilities.
Promote adoption of emerging technologies, automation and data-driven decision making.
Organisational Transformation & Capability Development
Lead DDIO's transformation portfolio and capability maturity agenda.
Ensure organisational change is effectively embedded through governance, communications, training and adoption activities.
Develop future leadership pipelines and organisational capability across DDIO.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability.
About you
Professional experience
Significant experience leading large-scale Product Development, Engineering, Portfolio, Transformation or Operational Excellence functions within a complex global organisation.
Experience defining and executing enterprise operating models, governance frameworks and organisational transformation initiatives.
Experience influencing executive leadership teams and shaping strategic business decisions.
Broad understanding of Product Development governance, Portfolio Operations, Engineering Lifecycle Management and Digital Transformation.
Experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary organisations with global stakeholder communities.
Demonstrated capability in organisational design, capability development and business transformation.
Experience balancing strategic leadership with operational governance and delivery outcomes.
