The academy offers structured, engaging, and personalized coaching for children aged 4 and above, from beginner to advanced and tournament levels. Experienced coaches work on both chess strength and core skills such as strategic thinking, problem-solving, concentration, confidence, and decision-making. Through interactive classes, personalized guidance, tournament preparation, and detailed game analysis, students build a solid foundation and steadily improve. E4 Chess Academy is committed to helping every student become a stronger chess player while gaining skills that extend beyond the chessboard.
Role Description The Chess Coach will deliver structured, age-appropriate chess lessons to children across varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced and tournament players. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, conducting online classes, analyzing student games, and providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. The coach will guide students in strategy, tactics, openings, endgames, and tournament readiness, while nurturing critical thinking, focus, and confidence. Additional duties include coordinating with parents or guardians on student progress, collaborating with academy staff on curriculum enhancements, and supporting internal events or tournaments. This is a full-time/ part-time, completely remote role based in India.
Qualifications
Strong practical chess skills, with solid knowledge of openings, middlegame strategy, endgames, and standard training methods.
Experience teaching or coaching children, with the ability to adapt communication and teaching style to different ages and skill levels.
Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas in simple, engaging ways.
Ability to plan structured lessons, track student progress, and provide constructive, motivating feedback.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with young learners from diverse backgrounds.
Comfort with basic digital tools (chess platforms, online resources, presentation tools) to support modern chess instruction.
Prior tournament experience as a player or coach; FIDE or national rating and coaching certifications are an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline preferred; formal training in education, sports coaching, or psychology is a plus.
