About Talent Syria

The role
We're hiring a Full Stack TypeScript Developer for a company outside Syria. It's a remote role and you work from Syria.
You'll build and maintain web applications end to end in TypeScript: the interface people use, the APIs behind it and the data underneath. You'll work with product managers, designers and other engineers on a distributed team, and your code and decisions will be reviewed and discussed in the open.
What you'll do
• Build features across the stack, from the user interface to server-side APIs and the database.
• Design and build APIs, and connect the front end to them.
• Write clean, tested code that is easy to maintain, and review your teammates' code.
• Debug problems and improve performance in both the front end and the back end.
• Take part in technical discussions and architecture decisions, and document what you build.
• Follow good practice for security, scalability and maintainability.
What we're looking for
• Solid experience with TypeScript in production, on both the front end and the back end.
• A modern front-end framework such as React or Next.js, plus good HTML and CSS.
• Node.js with a server framework such as NestJS or Express.
• Designing APIs and working with databases, SQL or NoSQL.
• Git, code review and a team workflow built on pull requests.
• Automated tests, continuous integration and deploying web applications.
• Turning requirements into a clear design and writing it down.
• Working on your own and communicating clearly in a remote team, with professional working English.
• A degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
• Experience with a cloud platform such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Knowing basic security practice for web applications.
