# Senior Software Engineer
## About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop, test, and deliver software functionality that supports overall business strategy and product objectives. This is a remote position focused on building features from the product backlog, automated testing, and collaborative Agile software development.
The role works closely with engineering, infrastructure, security, and other partner teams to deliver reliable software that meets business requirements and user story acceptance criteria.
## Key Responsibilities
* Develop and test code to deliver functionality aligned with business strategy and objectives.
* Build and implement features from the product backlog.
* Size and estimate user stories.
* Write unit tests and create automated test scripts.
* Perform testing-related tasks and validate deliverables against user story acceptance criteria.
* Create and maintain necessary project documentation.
* Collaborate with other teams to ensure features meet business needs.
* Follow industry-standard Agile software design and development methodologies.
* Work with infrastructure, security, and other partner teams throughout the development process.
## Required Qualifications
* 10+ years of experience for the Senior-level role.
* Strong experience with JVM-based programming languages.
* Experience with microservice patterns and architectures.
* Experience with Apache Kafka.
* 3–5 years of experience in an engineering role.
* 1–3 years of experience participating in Agile development.
* Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and software test automation.
* Deep experience working in an Agile environment, including user stories and iterative development.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and cross-functional partner teams.

* Experience with Groovy.
