Role Description The Network Technician role is a full-time remote position responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving client network environments. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring network performance, diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues, and providing technical support to end users via phone, email, or remote tools. The role involves configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices, as well as implementing network security best practices to protect data and systems. The Network Technician will document configurations, changes, and incident resolutions, collaborate with clients to plan network upgrades, and ensure that solutions are aligned with business requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Network Administration and Network Infrastructure, including configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, and wireless networks.
Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting and Technical Support, with the ability to diagnose issues, resolve incidents, and communicate solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Candidates should possess skills in Network Security, including implementing access controls, monitoring for threats, and following security best practices.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar credentials are beneficial.
Experience working in a remote environment, strong time management, and the ability to handle multiple client engagements effectively are preferred.
Solid written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing inclusive, respectful service to all clients are essential.
