Role Description The Market Analyst role is a full-time remote position responsible for evaluating market trends, competitive landscapes, and business opportunities in Southeast Asia and other target regions. The Market Analyst will collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data, prepare market research reports, and support client projects with clear insights and recommendations. Daily tasks include designing and conducting market studies, monitoring industry news and key financial indicators, and contributing to business development strategies. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and partners, preparing presentations for clients and chambers of commerce, and supporting due diligence for potential projects or M&A opportunities. The Market Analyst is expected to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
Qualifications
Ability to perform Market Analysis and Market Research to support strategic decision-making.
Strong Analytical Skills for interpreting data, building insights, and preparing evidence-based recommendations.
Effective Communication skills for writing clear reports, presenting findings, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
Working knowledge of Finance to understand key metrics, project feasibility, and business models.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, International Relations, or a related field.
Experience in consulting, market research, or business development, preferably within Asia or emerging markets.
Proficiency with spreadsheets and data analysis tools; familiarity with visualization software is an advantage.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work remotely across time zones.
Fluency in Bahasa Melayu and English; additional regional languages are a plus.
