Project Manager

Contract: B2B or employment contract with Epity Consulting, full-time

About the role
Epity Consulting is looking for an experienced project manager for a software supplier working inside the in-house software organisation of a European air traffic management body. The system is moving step by step into live operation. You would work full-time and fully remote, for at least twelve months, on a programme with a multi-year horizon.
What you will do
Lead two to three development teams, about 20 engineers in total.
Work day to day with a manager inside the client's software organisation, with a dotted line to
the supplier's managing director.
Own release planning, cross-team dependencies, risks and escalation.
Run the Scrum ceremonies the teams already use: planning, daily stand-ups, reviews,
retrospectives.
Align backlogs and milestones with the client's product side.
What decides success
Your customer is the client's software organisation, not the end user of the system. Success is measured by the trust you build there: plans kept honest, progress and risks shown early, changes in scope or timing raised before they become surprises.
This is a live programme in a large institution; priorities evolve and plans get revised, and the client relies on a project manager who keeps everyone informed and the teams steady through that. Inside the teams you motivate, help and challenge, and you can tell a hard task from one that is simply not moving.
Who fits
Five or more years managing software development teams or software delivery, as a project
manager, delivery manager or engineering lead, with at least one large institutional or enterprise client behind you. Additionally:
Several teams in parallel, run with Scrum or a comparable framework.
Enough technical background to judge estimates and challenge engineers. No coding.
Professional English; Slovak or Czech is an advantage.
EU citizenship and willingness to go through the client's security screening before onboarding.
Available full-time and remote, able to commit for at least twelve months.
Not required
Aviation or air traffic management background.
Hands-on development.
Agile coaching or transformation experience. The teams already work in an agile way; you run it, you do not introduce it.
