Full-Stack Software Engineer - MedTech & AI

Most medical AI learns patterns without knowing why. At Simultare, we're taking a different path: we're building the most transparent and reliable anatomical AI, one that combines deep medical expertise with machine intelligence and can explain every single result it delivers.
Our goal is nothing less than to redefine how surgeons plan and prepare, with technology that clinicians can trust because they can follow its reasoning.
We're a young MedTech startup at the intersection of surgery, knowledge and artificial intelligence, and we're looking for someone to help turn this vision into a product.
🛠 What you bring
▪️ Confidence across backend and frontend, e.g. Python (FastAPI, Pydantic), TypeScript, React/Next.js
▪️ Experience with REST APIs, databases and system integration
▪️ Docker, CI/CD, testing and Git as a natural part of your work
▪️ A track record of turning prototypes into stable, production-ready software
▪️ The drive to truly finish things, including error handling, performance and the details
▪️ Enjoyment in talking with medical professionals as equals about data and requirements
✨ Nice to have
▪️ Experience in Medtech / medical field
▪️ Experience with knowledge graphs, ontologies or LLM integration
▪️ Familiarity with regulated software development (IEC 62304, ISO 13485, MDR)
▪️ Experience with medical imaging (e.g. DICOM)
▪️ Experience handling sensitive health data under GDPR
You don't need to tick every box. A strong technical foundation and the ability to get up to speed quickly and independently matter more.
