Role Description The Senior Interior Designer will lead end-to-end interior design projects, from concept development and space planning to detailed design and installation oversight. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting clients to understand their needs, preparing design proposals, developing construction drawings, selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and coordinating with vendors and contractors. The role also involves guiding junior designers, ensuring design quality, and maintaining project timelines and budgets. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Chennai, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
Strong interior design and space planning skills, with the ability to create functional, aesthetically compelling layouts.
Knowledge of architecture principles and experience collaborating with architectural and construction teams.
Proficiency in preparing detailed construction drawings and documentation for execution.
Experience in FF&E selection, including sourcing, specification, and coordination of furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
Advanced skills in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D visualization tools) and MS Office.
Proven experience managing residential interior projects from concept to completion, ideally in a senior or lead role.
Excellent communication, client-facing, and presentation abilities, with strong attention to detail and time management.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
