Description supplied by the original job listing.
Project: Temple of Causality: Reincarnation
Role: Core Game Developer Intern (Unity / C#)
Location: Remote
Duration: 3 Months (With potential extension up to the full 12-Month production cycle)
Payment/Compensation: Unpaid Internship phase will be 3 Months (Stipend kicks off once a publisher contract/funding milestones are locked in after 3 Months is completed)
About the Project: Temple of Causality: Reincarnation is a stylized, philosophical 3D logic puzzle game. Players manipulate grid blocks dynamically to trigger linked "Cause and Effect" environmental systems. Visually inspired by Chants of Sennaar and Sable, the game is set within serene Eastern temples combining white marble architecture, golden accents, and ancient line art.

We are currently building out our vertical slice to pitch to mid-tier indie publishers and are looking for a passionate intern to join our core setup.
Role Overview: We are seeking a focused, technically sound Core Unity Developer Intern to drive the main programming tasks alongside our Art Director and Game Director. You will be building the foundational mechanics, architectural engines, and data-driven pipelines that will define the game’s core codebase.
Key Responsibilities
Core Logic Implementation: Program the main puzzle mechanics, focusing on the dynamic "Cause and Effect" block linkage systems and grid system. More Details will be given during interview.
Modular Systems Setup: Build a data-driven, modular environment pipeline using Unity ScriptableObjects to allow easy propagation of mesh variants, material swaps, and foliage overlays without manual placement.
Responsive Layout Engine: Implement the math and layout logic to ensure the game screen dynamically scales and adapts across both Landscape (PC/Console) and Portrait (Mobile) aspect ratios, utilizing a bottom-center pivot layout that shifts the grid southward for optimal touch ergonomics.
Optimization & Build Delivery: Maintain clean C# architectures, resolve script errors, and manage efficient pipelines for compiling stable PC and mobile prototypes.
Requirements:
Strong proficiency in Unity and C# with a solid understanding of vector math, game programming design patterns, and UI/UX responsiveness.
Familiarity with data-driven architecture in Unity (ScriptableObjects, custom inspectors, or editor tooling).
Exceptional logical reasoning skills—you enjoy solving architectural hurdles just as much as puzzle design challenges.
Organized version control habits (Git/GitHub) and clear communication workflows using Slack.
A strong affinity for high-concept, specialized logic, or narrative-driven puzzle games.
To Apply: Please share your portfolio, GitHub profile, or examples of Unity projects you have coded, alongside a brief note detailing how you approach building scalable, grid-based logic systems in Unity.
Notes:
If you are a software developer student or in technology background, please do not apply as this is a strict game development job. Doing so would unnecessarily increase filtering time for actual cadidates, so pardon the hectic work for fellow humans who want to pursue game development.
