UX Tester (Manual Testing)

We're building Volty, an AI employee that automates WhatsApp and Email workflows for growing businesses.
The role
We're looking for someone who will use Volty every day, harder and more thoughtfully than any customer. This is a fully hands-on manual testing role: no test automation and no scripting. You'll click through every flow, try to break things, and tell us honestly when something works but still feels wrong.
You'll have two jobs. The first is finding bugs before our users do. The second is being our in-house critic on product quality: flagging clunky flows, confusing copy, inconsistent design, and AI responses that are technically correct but not good enough.
What you'll do
Manually test new features and releases across web and mobile optimised view before they ship
Explore the product without scripts to uncover edge cases, broken states, and unexpected behavior
Test Volty's AI outputs for accuracy, consistency, tone, and usefulness, and spot where it confuses or misleads users
Write clear, reproducible bug reports with steps, screenshots, and screen recordings
Give candid feedback on UX, visual design, copy, and overall product feel
Run regression checks on core flows before each release
Work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to prioritize and verify fixes
What we're looking for
1-2 years of UX / UI or equivalent design background
Experience testing LLM-powered products
A sharp eye for detail: you notice the misaligned button, the typo, the extra click
Clear, concise written English communication
Patience for repetitive testing, and persistence in tracking down hard-to-reproduce bugs
What this role is not
This is not a test automation role. If you're looking to write Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright scripts, this probably isn't the right fit. We want a human who uses the product the way real people do.
