Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Design Engineer role based in Devanahalli. The Mechanical Design Engineer will develop and refine mechanical components and assemblies, from initial concept to detailed design, ensuring functionality, reliability, and manufacturability. Daily responsibilities include creating and updating CAD models and drawings, performing basic engineering calculations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality, and procurement. The role involves reviewing design requirements, participating in design reviews, supporting prototype builds and testing, and implementing design changes based on feedback and performance data. The engineer will also prepare technical documentation, maintain design standards, and support continuous improvement of design processes.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world design challenges.
Proficiency in Design Engineering and Machine Design, including developing mechanical components and assemblies that meet performance and safety requirements.
Experience in Product Design, focusing on both functional performance and user-oriented considerations across the product lifecycle.
Hands-on skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, detailed drafting, and revision control.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and familiarity with relevant standards and tolerances.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and capability to manage multiple design tasks within defined timelines.
Experience with prototype development, testing, and design validation is an advantage.
Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and basic simulation or analysis tools (e.g., FEA) is beneficial.
