ENGin matches English-fluent volunteers from around the world with Ukrainian conversation partners for weekly online conversation practice. Volunteers share their culture and perspectives while helping their partner become more confident speaking English.

Looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity for teens that you can do from home?
Join ENGin as a teen Conversation Partner and get matched with a peer your age in Ukraine for weekly one-on-one English conversations. In just one hour a week, you can help a fellow teen build confidence, practice English, and connect across cultures — all while building your own communication skills, gaining cross-cultural experience, and getting your volunteer hours upon request.
We'll pair you with a Ukrainian teen close in age for weekly one-hour video chats at a time that works for your schedule. You'll help your partner practice conversational English, share what life is like where you're from, and build a genuine friendship through cultural exchange.
What You Need To Volunteer
Be over the age of 13
English fluency
A reliable internet connection
Ability to commit to 1 hour/week for at least 12 weeks
Teen volunteers will be asked for parental/guardian consent
No tutoring experience or Ukrainian language skills required. We provide training materials, conversation guides, and flexible scheduling so you can build sessions around your interests — whether that's music, gaming, school, or pop culture. Our team supports you the whole way through, and we're happy to provide documentation or hour verification upon request.
