# Data Analyst
## About the Role
Jump is looking for a Data Analyst to help drive better business decisions through thoughtful analysis, clear metric definitions, and strong cross-functional partnership. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and GTM teams to answer high-impact business questions, translate ambiguity into structured analysis, and uncover insights that shape strategy.
This role combines business-focused analytics with analytical data modeling. You’ll help build and maintain clean, reliable data models and transformations that support scalable reporting, trustworthy metrics, and data-driven decision-making. You’ll join a small, high-impact data team where ownership is encouraged and your work directly influences how the company grows.
## Key Responsibilities
* Partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, and GTM teams to define KPIs and answer strategic business questions.
* Build reporting and dashboards that support business decisions and drive action.
* Present data insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
* Define and maintain core business metrics to create alignment across teams.
* Support and improve dimensional data models, including fact tables, dimension tables, and star schemas.
* Build and maintain reliable data transformations for accurate and consistent reporting.
* Improve data quality, documentation, and reporting standards.
* Contribute to forecasting, experimentation analysis, and predictive or inference modeling initiatives.
* Take ownership of projects and contribute proactively beyond routine analytics requests.
## Required Qualifications
* 2–4 years of relevant professional experience in Data Analytics, Analytics Engineering, or a similar role.
* Strong SQL skills.
* Experience working with a modern cloud data warehouse.
* Experience performing exploratory data analysis and communicating actionable insights.
* Experience working cross-functionally and influencing business stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to drive measurable impact through data.
* Experience building analytical data models, not only dashboards or ad hoc analysis.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Familiarity with data ingestion tools such as Fivetran, Airbyte, Stitch, or similar.
* Familiarity with analytics transformation tools such as dbt, SQLMesh, or Dataform.
* Familiarity with modern BI tools such as Tableau, Sigma, Looker, or similar.
* Familiarity with version-controlled analytics workflows.
* Familiarity with dimensional modeling concepts, including fact tables, dimension tables, and star schemas.
