Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading all financial strategy and operations at Flowmotive. This role oversees budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning in alignment with the company’s growth and innovation objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing financial reporting, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, monitoring cash flow, and providing data-driven insights to support executive decision-making. The CFO will develop and refine financial policies, implement internal controls, and coordinate with external partners such as auditors, banks, and investors. This position also collaborates with cross-functional leaders to evaluate new initiatives, manage risk, and optimize resource allocation in a fast-evolving AI and technology environment.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Finance and Financial Planning, with experience designing budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial strategies.
Proficiency in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including consolidation, compliance, and presentation to executive leadership and stakeholders.
Advanced Analytical Skills applied to financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data-driven recommendations for strategic decisions.
Proven experience in senior financial leadership roles, preferably as a CFO or equivalent in technology, SaaS, or AI-focused organizations.
Thorough understanding of corporate finance, cash management, capital structure, and funding strategies for scaling companies.
Knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements; experience working with auditors and external financial partners.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification (CPA, CFA) is beneficial.
Demonstrated ability to lead remote teams, implement efficient processes, and work effectively in a fully distributed environment.
