Director of Strategic Client Management
I. Position Overview
The Director of Strategic Client Management is responsible for the acquisition, maintenance, and long-term relationship management of the company's core strategic clients and key institutional clients. By coordinating internal teams—including investment, trading, product, research, risk control, and operations—around client needs, the Director ensures the delivery of continuous professional services and solutions to key clients.
This role involves not only maintaining existing key clients but also identifying high-value opportunities and establishing long-term partnerships. The Director drives the entire business process, ranging from initial contact, needs analysis, and solution design to partnership implementation and ongoing maintenance.
The core objective is to deepen cooperation with strategic clients and enhance client retention, business contribution, and long-term commercial value.
II. Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Client Acquisition and Relationship Management
Responsible for acquiring and maintaining key clients, institutional clients, and high-value clients.
Establish and maintain a network of long-term, stable client relationships.
Gain a deep understanding of clients' investment directions, business needs, risk appetites, and development plans.
Formulate differentiated client management and communication strategies based on specific client characteristics.
Conduct regular business communications with core clients to identify new partnership opportunities in a timely manner.
2. Client Needs and Solutions
Analyze client requirements regarding investment, trading, asset allocation, and liquidity management.
Coordinate with investment, trading, product, and research teams to develop tailored solutions for clients.
Present the company's investment products, trading services, and other business capabilities to clients.
Continuously optimize service solutions and cooperation models based on client feedback.
Coordinate major client projects from requirements confirmation through to implementation.
3. Business Development and Growth
Identify potential business opportunities within existing strategic client accounts.
Drive cross-collaboration across products, services, and business lines.
Expand the client base to include new institutional clients, family offices, funds, corporate clients, and other strategic partners.
Participate in major business negotiations, partnership solution design, and contract finalization.
Monitor client business contribution and partnership conversion rates.
4. Internal Resource Coordination
Serve as a key liaison between strategic clients and internal company teams.
Coordinate across departments such as investment, trading, product, research, operations, legal, and compliance.
Ensure the execution of key client projects according to plan. Follow up on, coordinate, and resolve major client issues.
Regularly report the status of key clients, business opportunities, and potential risks to senior management.
5. Client Information and Market Analysis
Establish comprehensive strategic client profiles and a client lifecycle management system.
Continuously monitor clients' industries, business developments, and investment needs.
Analyze competitors and market trends to inform client development strategies.
Establish mechanisms for the classification, prioritization, and follow-up of key clients.
Regularly compile client feedback to provide market insights for the company's product and business strategies.
III. Qualifications
Professional Competencies
Bachelor’s degree or higher; majors in Finance, Economics, Business Management, Marketing, or related fields are preferred.
Experience in client management within finance, investment, asset management, securities, derivatives, digital assets, or related industries.
Familiarity with institutional client acquisition, strategic client management, and business negotiation processes.
Strong capabilities in business analysis, client needs analysis, and solution development.
Ability to understand investment products, financial markets, and relevant business models.
Work Experience
Over 15 years of experience in finance, investment, asset management, wealth management, institutional sales, or strategic client management.
Existing relationships with large institutional clients, high-net-worth individuals, family offices, funds, or corporate clients are preferred.
Experience managing major clients or large-scale collaborative projects.
Experience in cross-departmental coordination and team management.
