Social Media Manager & Video Editor, Founder Content

Full-Time | Remote | Lagos, Nigeria
Konnetta is hiring a Social Media Manager & Video Editor to work closely with the company’s founder and take ownership of his social media content and digital presence.
This role sits within the Konnetta team, but your primary focus will be founder-led content. You’ll work directly with the founder to turn raw videos, ideas, travel footage, business experiences, behind-the-scenes moments, and talking-head content into engaging social media content.
We need someone who is not only good at social media, but is also a very strong video editor with a creative eye and good storytelling instincts.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Edit regular video content from the founder for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube
Turn raw footage into engaging Reels, TikToks, Shorts, and longer-form content when needed
Manage the founder’s social media accounts and publishing schedule
Identify strong hooks and moments within raw footage
Develop content ideas around entrepreneurship, technology, travel, lifestyle, and building Konnetta
Write captions, titles, hooks, and supporting social copy
Repurpose content effectively across different platforms
Stay current with trends, formats, editing styles, and platform changes
Monitor content performance and use insights to improve future content
Help build a consistent and recognizable founder brand
Occasionally support Konnetta’s wider social media and marketing content when needed
What We’re Looking For
Strong video editing skills are essential for this role.
We want someone who understands how to make content interesting, not someone who simply adds captions and transitions to a video.
You should:
Have proven experience editing high-quality social media videos
Understand storytelling, pacing, hooks, retention, sound design, subtitles, and visual flow
Have experience managing social media accounts
Understand Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube
Be comfortable editing talking-head, travel, lifestyle, and business content
Be creative and able to suggest content ideas independently
Have strong attention to detail
Be reliable and able to manage a consistent publishing schedule
Be comfortable working directly with a founder in a fast-moving environment
Currently reside in Lagos, Nigeria
Be available for occasional in-person shoots or travel when required
Experience with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, After Effects, or similar tools is welcome. Your portfolio and quality of work matter more than the software you use.
