Role Description The Trade Relationship Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. This role focuses on acquisition of current account and growing trade finance and transaction banking relationships with existing and prospective corporate and business clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying trade finance needs, structuring solutions such as letters of credit, bank guarantees, and export/import finance, and coordinating documentation and compliance requirements. The Trade Relationship Manager will monitor client portfolios, track transaction activity, and collaborate with internal teams such as credit, operations, and risk to ensure smooth execution. The role also involves generating new business opportunities, preparing client presentations, maintaining accurate records in internal systems, and providing proactive service to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of current account sourcing and client servicing skills, with the ability to build and sustain long-term partnerships with corporate and business clients.
Sound understanding of trade finance products and services (e.g., letters of credit, bank guarantees, export/import finance, remittances, and foreign exchange).
Proficiency in sales and business development, including opportunity identification, pipeline management, and achievement of revenue and volume targets.
Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance processes, and risk management principles relevant to trade and transaction banking.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and prepare structured proposals.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present solutions clearly to clients and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
Proficiency with standard office and banking applications for reporting, documentation, and client relationship management.
Bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, business administration, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications (MBA/PGDM in Finance or Marketing) are an advantage.
Prior experience in trade finance, corporate banking, or transaction banking will be highly beneficial.
