Role Description The Occupational Therapist will provide assessment, diagnosis, and intervention to clients with developmental, sensory, motor, and functional challenges, with a strong focus on pediatric populations. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting occupational therapy evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering therapy sessions aimed at improving daily living skills, fine and gross motor abilities, sensory integration, and school readiness. The role involves close collaboration with speech and hearing professionals, physicians, families, and educators to ensure coordinated care and effective rehabilitation outcomes. The Occupational Therapist will maintain accurate clinical documentation, monitor progress, and adjust interventions based on client needs and evidence-based practices. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, with the ability to design and implement individualized intervention plans.
Knowledge of Medicine and basic clinical concepts relevant to interdisciplinary care and collaborative treatment planning.
Experience or interest in Pediatrics, including working with children with developmental, sensory, and learning challenges.
Effective Communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and multidisciplinary team members, and for providing clear education and counseling.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution; valid professional licensure or registration as required by local regulations.
Ability to conduct standardized assessments, document clinical findings, and track outcomes using evidence-based methods.
Strong observational skills, empathy, and cultural sensitivity when working with diverse client populations.
Willingness to participate in case discussions, training, and continuous professional development activities.
