Role Description The Graphics Designer (Volunteer) is a part-time volunteer remote role responsible for supporting Kishron Innovation Hub’s visual identity across digital and print channels. Day-to-day tasks include designing graphics for social media, presentations, learning materials, and marketing campaigns that appeal to children, parents, and educators. The role involves creating logos and brand assets, selecting and applying appropriate typography, and maintaining consistent branding across all touchpoints. The Graphics Designer will collaborate with content creators, educators, and the marketing team to translate educational concepts into engaging visual content, while meeting project deadlines and following brand guidelines.
Qualifications
Strong skills in graphics and graphic design, with the ability to produce clear, engaging visuals for educational and marketing content.
Experience with logo design and branding to develop and maintain a cohesive visual identity for programs and campaigns.
Proficiency in typography, including font selection and layout, to enhance readability and visual appeal for diverse age groups.
Competence with common design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Canva or similar) and basic knowledge of digital asset management.
Understanding of designing for children and educational contexts, with an eye for accessibility, inclusivity, and age-appropriate visuals.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.
Effective communication skills and openness to feedback from cross-functional teams.
Prior experience in edtech, nonprofit, or youth-focused initiatives is an advantage but not required.
