What Your Impact Is
In this role, you will:
Ensure the availability, performance, and stability of ERM's core SQL database environment and business intelligence platforms.
Support and optimize critical business systems, including ERM's finance platform and enterprise-wide reporting solutions.
Enable data-driven decision-making by maintaining trusted, accessible, and high-performing data assets.
Drive improvements in database architecture, data integration, analytics capabilities, and reporting solutions.
Partner with teams across IT and the wider business to deliver innovative, scalable technology solutions.
Contribute to the evolution of ERM's modern data platform strategy, leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and advanced analytics technologies.
What You'll BringRequired
5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, Data Engineer, BI Engineer, or similar role.
Advanced expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and related technologies.
Strong proficiency in SQL, stored procedures, functions, views, query optimization, and database performance tuning.
Experience with database design, schema development, logical and physical data modelling.
Strong understanding of query languages and analytics technologies, including SQL, MDX, DAX, Power Query (M), and PostgreSQL.
Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing ETL/ELT processes using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, or equivalent tools.
Hands-on experience developing and supporting Power BI solutions, including Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
Experience creating and maintaining analytics data pipelines that support reporting, insights, and operational decision-making.
Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric architecture, including OneLake, Lakehouses, Warehouses, Pipelines, and Notebooks.
Understanding of business intelligence best practices, including dimensional modelling, data warehousing, and data governance.
Experience supporting mission-critical systems with a strong focus on uptime, stability, and service excellence.
Working knowledge of Windows Server environments and networking fundamentals.
Experience operating within regional or global organizations.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
Experience supporting enterprise finance systems or ERP platforms.
Experience working with SSRS, Report Builder, and other reporting technologies.
Knowledge of cloud-based data architectures and modern analytics platforms.
Experience supporting bespoke business applications with complex database dependencies.
