DevOps Engineer

Help make a young SaaS product dependable, secure, and straightforward to operate.
ABOUT QUORUM
Quorum is an early-stage product helping teams understand meeting costs, reduce fragmented workdays, and make better decisions about recurring meetings. We are building practical analytics and integrations around calendars, meeting platforms, HR systems, and Slack. Organizers stay in control: Quorum does not send a recording bot into calls or automatically change calendars.
THE ROLE
Work directly with our two cofounders to improve how Quorum is built, deployed, monitored, and recovered. You will help turn release and operational requirements into reliable, documented workflows.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Improve container builds, CI/CD, release verification, and rollback procedures.
• Operate and improve Google Cloud infrastructure for a Next.js web application, background workers, and PostgreSQL.
• Build practical monitoring, alerting, incident runbooks, and service-health checks.
• Test database backup and restore, migration safety, and recovery procedures.
• Strengthen secrets management, least-privilege access, tenant-data protection, and dependency hygiene.
• Improve infrastructure automation, capacity planning, and cloud-cost visibility.
• Partner with engineers on integration reliability, background-job retries, and production debugging.
WHAT YOU BRING
• Hands-on experience operating cloud-hosted applications.
• Strong Linux, networking, Docker, CI/CD, and scripting skills.
• Practical experience with Google Cloud or another major cloud, and willingness to work with Google Cloud.
• Experience with PostgreSQL operations, monitoring, backups, and safe releases.
• Clear written English and a pragmatic approach to documentation and remote collaboration.
USEFUL, NOT REQUIRED
Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Artifact Registry, Secret Manager, GitHub Actions, infrastructure as code, Node.js, or TypeScript. We value systems you have operated and improved more than a particular certification.
LOCATION AND COMPENSATION
Full-time. Remote within the European Union.
€65,000–€85,000 gross annual base salary, depending on relevant experience and the scope you can own.
