Role Description The Test Lead contract role is a remote position responsible for overseeing end-to-end testing activities across projects. Day-to-day tasks include planning and managing test cycles, defining test strategies, coordinating test execution, and ensuring that quality standards are met. The Test Lead collaborates with project managers, business analysts, and development teams to clarify requirements, identify risks, and track defects through resolution. The role also involves preparing test documentation, reporting on test progress and outcomes, and driving continuous improvement in testing processes and tools.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Test Management and Test Strategy, with experience leading testing for complex projects.
Hands-on expertise in Test Execution and Testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
Solid background in Quality Assurance, with a focus on defect prevention, root-cause analysis, and process improvement.
Ability to create clear test plans, test cases, and test reports, and to communicate testing status to stakeholders.
Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach to work.
Effective communication and collaboration skills in distributed, remote teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Previous experience as a Test Lead or Senior QA Engineer in IT consulting or recruitment-driven projects is an advantage.
