Role Description The Apprentice Electrician will support licensed electricians with day-to-day electrical tasks, including assisting with installations, maintenance, and repairs in commercial settings. Responsibilities include learning to read basic electrical plans, handling tools and materials, preparing work areas, and following safety procedures and company standards. The apprentice will help with troubleshooting simple electrical issues under supervision, documenting work performed, and maintaining a clean, organized job site. This is a full-time remote role, which may involve traveling to job locations as assigned and communicating regularly with the team using remote tools and scheduling systems.
Qualifications
Foundational knowledge of electricity and basic electrical concepts, with a strong willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Ability to assist with electrical work, including installations and routine tasks under supervision.
Interest or experience in maintenance & repair activities, including learning to perform safe and effective basic repairs.
Developing skills in troubleshooting electrical issues, with the capacity to recognize common problems and escalate them appropriately.
Exposure to or coursework in electrical engineering principles is beneficial but not required.
Strong commitment to safety, adherence to company procedures, and respect for client work environments.
Ability to work full time, remotely coordinate with supervisors, and reliably travel to assigned job sites as needed.
Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset.
High school diploma or equivalent; enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or trade school is a plus.
