1. About Our Client:
The organization operates in the residential mortgage servicing industry, providing integrated, full-lifecycle mortgage loan servicing support to borrowers and investors. It focuses on delivering customer care and programs that assist borrowers throughout their homeownership experience.
2. About the Opportunity:
The Sr Dispute Correspondence Specialist is responsible for managing written borrower disputes and inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution. This role contributes by maintaining compliance with federal regulations and supporting customer satisfaction through detailed investigation and communication.
3. Responsibilities:
Review written complaints and disputes from borrowers or authorized representatives
Analyze loan information, transaction histories, and previous actions
Research and identify root causes of issues and implement resolution plans
Collaborate with other business units to determine appropriate resolutions
Ensure necessary corrections are made to accounts
Compose detailed factual responses summarizing investigations and outcomes
Compile supporting documentation related to investigations
Maintain comprehensive records of complaints and corrective actions
Manage deadlines to comply with CFPB guidelines
Stay updated on related federal regulations such as RESPA, TILA, FCRA, and CFPB rules
Adhere to department and organizational policies and procedures
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and relevant industry software
Work independently with strong attention to detail
4. Requirements:
High school diploma required; bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum three years of experience in legal, customer service, or residential mortgage services
Professional writing experience in a corporate setting without using templates
Analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to interact with senior management and make impactful decisions
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Proficient in oral and written communication
Ability to negotiate and integrate differing viewpoints
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The target compensation range for this position is $26.00 to $29.00 per hour.
