Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Jewellery Craftsman role based in Surat. The Jewellery Craftsman will be responsible for crafting, assembling, and finishing jewellery pieces using various metals, stones, and settings in line with design specifications. Daily tasks include soldering, polishing, stone setting, quality checking, and performing repairs or adjustments as needed. The role involves closely following design sketches or CAD models, maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring all pieces meet safety and quality standards. The Jewellery Craftsman will work with designers and other team members to consistently deliver high-quality products within agreed timelines.
Qualifications
Strong practical skills in jewellery making, including metal work, soldering, and stone setting.
Experience with polishing, finishing, and repairing jewellery pieces to high-quality standards.
Ability to read and interpret design drawings or CAD models and translate them into finished products.
Attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and steady manual dexterity for fine craftsmanship.
Knowledge of different metals, gemstones, and jewellery manufacturing techniques.
Ability to work safely with tools, machinery, and materials, following workshop safety procedures.
Previous experience in a jewellery workshop or relevant vocational training is preferred.
Reliable, organized, and able to meet production deadlines while maintaining consistent quality.
Willingness to collaborate with designers and team members and adapt to evolving design requirements.
