2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Investment Reporting Analyst is responsible for overseeing and reviewing statutory and GAAP financial reporting related to investment portfolios. This role ensures accurate regulatory, tax, and Board financial reporting for separate accounts within the insurance sector. The position contributes by maintaining compliance with accounting standards and improving reporting processes.
3. Responsibilities:
Prepare and review quarterly and annual statutory financial reports, supplements, audited financial statements, and surveys
Coordinate investment presentations in financial statements on a quarterly basis
Research and propose new disclosures or report modifications in response to pronouncements and guidelines
Interpret accounting pronouncements related to U.S. Statutory, U.S. GAAP, and regulatory requirements
Recommend changes to accounting systems and information presentation
Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements for reporting efficiency
Assist with new process and project implementation
Coordinate audits for investments and communicate the organization’s position
Monitor reporting databases and make necessary adjustments
Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests with interpretation and explanation
Reconcile and research ledger balances across systems
Prepare U.S. GAAP Annual Registered Financial Statements
4. Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
4-6 years of financial reporting experience
Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of reporting systems such as Blackline, EASY, SAP, PAM, Phoenix, Unit Value Cloud
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Base salary range: $79,400.00 to $112,175.00
Eligibility to participate in a bonus program depending on role and performance
Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, education, licensure, and skills
