Senior Product Designer

💻 Senior Product Designer / Product Builder | Contract | Remote
I’m looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer / Product Builder to join a growing technology business on an initial 4-month contract.
This isn’t a traditional UX Designer role.
I’m looking for someone who can take loose product requirements, challenge and refine them, understand the actual problem that needs solving and then turn that thinking into strong product designs.
You’ll sit across Product, UX and Design, using tools like Figma and AI/Codex to move quickly from an initial requirement through to something engineering can actually build.
What you’ll be doing:
🔥 Taking loose product requirements and turning them into clear, structured solutions
🧠 Thinking through the wider product problem rather than simply designing what you’re given
🎨 Turning product requirements into strong UX / product designs
💻 Working extensively with Figma
🤖 Using AI tools including Codex as part of your day-to-day workflow
🚀 Moving quickly from initial ideas through to build-ready designs
🤝 Working closely with Product and Engineering teams
🔍 Identifying gaps, edge cases and areas where requirements need further thought
⚙️ Helping bridge the gap between product thinking, design and technical delivery
✅ Working within a complex, highly regulated software environment
What I’m looking for:
✅ Strong commercial Product Design / UX experience
✅ Excellent Figma experience
✅ Strong product thinking - not just visual design
✅ Comfortable taking ownership of unclear or loosely defined requirements
✅ Experience working closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams
✅ Confident using AI tools to accelerate product and design work
✅ Able to work independently and move quickly in a contract environment
⭐ Previous experience within a regulated industry such as FinTech, Financial Services, HealthTech or similar would be highly beneficial
You don’t need life sciences experience.
In fact, I’m particularly interested in people who bring fresh product thinking rather than someone who has spent their entire career working within one traditional industry.

This would suit someone who enjoys sitting in that space between Product and Design - someone who can understand the problem, shape the requirement and then actually turn it into something tangible.
