Director of Project Management

Role Description The Director of Project Management is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing complex logistics and supply chain projects across the organization. This role leads project teams in planning, executing, and monitoring initiatives related to transportation, warehousing, IT platform enhancements, and process optimization. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining project scopes and timelines, managing budgets, setting priorities, and aligning projects with business goals and client requirements. The director coordinates cross-functional stakeholders, supports risk and issue management, and ensures consistent project governance and reporting. This role also drives continuous improvement, implements best practices in project and program management, and mentors project managers to enhance overall delivery quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including scope definition, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
Candidates should possess Program Management experience to oversee multi-project initiatives, align with strategic objectives, and manage dependencies.
Candidates should possess Budgeting and financial management skills to plan, track, and optimize project and program costs.
Candidates should possess Team Leadership and people management skills to guide project teams, support professional development, and foster collaboration.
Candidates should possess Process Improvement capabilities, including the use of methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.
Extensive experience in logistics, supply chain, or related operations, preferably in an international environment.
Proficiency with project management tools and connected IT platforms; familiarity with data-driven decision-making and performance metrics.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP) are an asset.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, multicultural environment.
