Vice President, Global Business Operations
Location: United States | Full-Time | Remote / Hybrid / On-site
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
About the Role
We are looking for a Vice President, Global Business Operations to lead the organization’s global business operations and develop scalable operating capabilities across markets and regions.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for coordinating international business operations, improving cross-regional execution, establishing consistent operating standards, and supporting the organization’s expansion into new markets.
You will work closely with executive leadership and partner across Business Development, Operations, Product, Technology, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Marketing, Customer Service, and regional teams. The role will have significant influence over global operating strategy, regional coordination, business performance, process standardization, resource planning, and international expansion initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines strong global operations experience with strategic thinking, commercial judgment, cross-cultural leadership, and the ability to build consistent operating structures across multiple markets.
Responsibilities
• Lead the overall Global Business Operations function and establish an operating strategy aligned with the organization’s international growth objectives.
• Develop scalable operating models and frameworks that support business activities across multiple countries and regions.
• Translate global business strategy into regional operating plans, priorities, initiatives, and measurable performance objectives.
• Coordinate business operations across geographic markets and ensure effective communication and alignment between global and regional teams.
• Establish standardized operating procedures, governance frameworks, performance standards, and reporting processes across markets where appropriate.
• Monitor regional business performance, operational efficiency, service levels, resource utilization, and key operating metrics.
• Develop global operating dashboards, KPIs, management reports, and performance reviews for executive leadership.
• Analyze regional performance data, market trends, operational issues, and business requirements to identify opportunities for improvement and expansion.
• Partner with Business Development and regional leadership to support market entry, business expansion, strategic partnerships, and new operating initiatives.
• Work closely with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Finance teams to ensure global operating processes appropriately address local requirements and organizational controls.
• Coordinate with Product and Technology teams to ensure global and regional operational requirements are reflected in product capabilities, systems, workflows, and infrastructure.
• Identify differences in regional customer needs, operating practices, market conditions, and business requirements and develop appropriate operating strategies.
• Lead cross-regional initiatives involving multiple business functions, markets, and stakeholders.
• Establish processes for sharing operational best practices, market intelligence, and business insights across regional teams.
• Develop resource planning and capacity models to support regional growth, staffing requirements, operational infrastructure, and business expansion.
• Evaluate opportunities to centralize, automate, or standardize operational processes to improve efficiency and scalability across markets.
• Monitor operational risks associated with international business activities and coordinate appropriate mitigation strategies with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and regional teams.
• Support executive leadership in evaluating new markets, international partnerships, regional business models, and global expansion opportunities.
• Establish regular global operating reviews and ensure regional teams maintain appropriate accountability for performance and execution.
• Develop executive-level presentations, business cases, strategic analysis, and recommendations related to global operations and international growth.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Global Business Operations organization as the international business expands.
• Promote a culture of accountability, operational discipline, collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement across global teams.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a senior global operations leader who understands how to coordinate complex organizations across multiple markets and can build scalable operating structures that support international growth.
The strongest candidates will typically have:
• 20+ years of progressive experience in global operations, international business operations, business management, strategy and operations, or a related field.
• Significant senior leadership experience as a VP of Global Operations, VP of Global Business Operations, Head of International Operations, Chief Operating Officer, or equivalent role.
• Demonstrated experience managing business operations across multiple countries, regions, or international markets.
• Strong understanding of global operating models, regional coordination, process standardization, performance management, and international business execution.
• Experience supporting international expansion, market entry, regional growth, or development of new geographic operations.
• Strong analytical and business skills, with the ability to evaluate regional performance, operational costs, resource requirements, and growth opportunities.
• Demonstrated experience developing global KPIs, dashboards, operating reviews, and executive-level reporting.
• Experience leading cross-functional and cross-regional initiatives involving Operations, Business Development, Product, Technology, Finance, Compliance, Risk, and Legal.
• Strong understanding of cultural differences, regional business practices, and the operational challenges associated with international organizations.
• Experience developing standardized processes while allowing appropriate flexibility for local market requirements.
• Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to manage multiple international initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills across different cultures, time zones, and organizational levels.
• Strong commercial judgment and understanding of how global operations, customer requirements, regulatory considerations, and business performance interact.
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in fast-moving and geographically distributed environments.
• Experience hiring, developing, and managing regional operations leaders and international teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, International Business, Operations, Finance, Economics, or a related field required. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
Experience in cryptocurrency, digital assets, financial services, fintech, payments, brokerage, trading, banking, or other globally regulated industries is a plus, but it is not required.
We are also interested in candidates from multinational technology companies, financial institutions, SaaS businesses, consulting firms, e-commerce, payments, marketplaces, and other organizations with significant international operations.
Location and Work Arrangement
This position is based in the United States. The company offers remote, hybrid, and on-site working arrangements depending on the individual, location, and business needs.
Travel will be required as needed for international leadership meetings, regional business reviews, market expansion initiatives, strategic planning, partner discussions, and industry events.
