Overlord is a growing YouTube channel focused on helping people understand AI, power, money, technology and the future of humanity through cinematic storytelling.
As AI rapidly transforms our world, questions about jobs, wealth, power and humanity's future are becoming more important than ever. Our mission is to explore these topics through engaging, thought-provoking documentaries and visual storytelling.
We're already making progress toward YouTube monetization and are looking for a creative individual to join us early and help grow the channel.
The Role
We're looking for a Founding Video Editor & Creative Partner who can transform our ideas into compelling visual stories.
What we'll provide:
Topics, scripts and voiceovers, AI tools
Reference videos and YouTube channels
Clear creative direction and editing-style references
Your responsibilities:
Source relevant stock footage, B-roll and images.
Generate AI-powered images and video scenes.
Create cinematic, story-driven YouTube videos.
Add music, sound design, motion graphics and typography.
Create Shorts and Reels when required.
Who We're Looking For
This opportunity is ideal for college students, recent graduates, working professionals seeking additional income, and freelance editors looking for a long-term creative project.
We're looking for someone with:
Good editing skills and strong visual storytelling instincts.
Experience with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut or similar software.
An interest in AI-generated images and videos.
Creativity, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
A genuine passion for AI, documentaries, filmmaking, storytelling or content creation.
Prior professional experience is not mandatory. Your creativity, portfolio and willingness to learn matter more.
Compensation & Revenue Share
Monthly stipend: ₹5,000–₹30,000, depending on experience, availability and responsibilities.
Once Overlord is monetized, the founding editor will be eligible for a 25% share of agreed net YouTube advertising revenue, with 75% retained by Overlord.
The revenue-sharing arrangement, payment terms and conditions will be clearly documented in a written agreement.
Our goal is to build a long-term creative partnership where both parties benefit as the channel grows.
Working Hours
Part-time, approximately 15–25 hours per week.
Fully remote with flexible working hours.
Suitable for students, working professionals and freelancers.
Work will be evaluated based on quality, consistency and agreed deadlines.
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will receive a trial assignment.
We'll provide a script, voiceover and visual references. You'll be asked to create a 45–60 second video demonstrating your editing skills, visual storytelling and creativity.
