Role Description
This is a remote contract role for an MRP Analyst supporting long-term Department of Defense manufacturing client engagements. This role is ideal for someone early in their planning or supply chain career who has a strong understanding of MRP fundamentals, enjoys working with data, and wants to develop deeper expertise in manufacturing planning and ERP systems.
The MRP Analyst will support material planning activities by reviewing MRP recommendations, investigating shortages and supply/demand issues, monitoring material availability, and helping ensure manufacturing has the material it needs to build on time. You will learn to analyze BOMs, inventory, purchase orders, manufacturing orders, lead times, and other planning data to understand why MRP is generating a recommendation—not simply action what the system says.
You will work alongside experienced consultants and client teams across Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Program Management, while also supporting data cleanup, inventory accuracy, ERP data maintenance, and process improvements.
Prior Deltek Costpoint experience is helpful but not required. We are looking for someone with a strong planning mindset, foundational MRP knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to investigate and solve problems. Training will be provided on Costpoint and our specific planning processes.
Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Basic understanding of MRP concepts, including demand, supply, lead times, inventory, BOMs, and planned orders
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including filtering, lookups, and basic data analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities
Experience with data cleanup, inventory accuracy, or ERP implementations is a plus, but not required
Experience with Deltek Costpoint or another ERP/MRP system preferred, but not required
