About CHHE
Clear Harbor Healing and Empowerment (澈心) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit , providing whole-person support to Asian immigrants and international students across the U.S. Guided by our philosophy of offering "familiarity and confidence in an unfamiliar land," our work spans two pillars: Healing and Empowerment.
On the Healing side, we provide individual therapy alongside psychoeducation workshops on mental health and cultural adjustment. On the Empowerment side, we run career exploration programming, legal support workshops, campus ambassador initiatives, and our bilingual podcast "Wait, You Too?". Together, these programs have collectively reached over ten thousand attendee-instances in just over a year, with our team growing from the ground up to nearly 40 members.
We are currently building out a sustainable group practice model, with active credentialing underway across major insurers including BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, and UHC. As we continue to grow, we're expanding our Clinical Services team to help us serve even more members of our community.
Position Overview
We are seeking a part-time therapist to join our Clinical Services team. This is a paid position with flexible, negotiable hours. You will provide individual counseling to clients across diverse populations, and may take on supervisory responsibilities depending on licensure status.
You will deliver evidence-based psychotherapy, conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and support clients through their healing journeys. Join us in making a meaningful difference by empowering individuals to overcome challenges and achieve their wellness goals.

Qualifications
Massachusetts full licensure required, at any of the following levels:
Independently licensed: LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist
Working toward independent licensure under supervision: LSW, LCSW, or an unlicensed post-master's clinician accumulating hours toward LMHC
Degree requirement depends on license level: Master's degree or above in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Psychology for master's-level and independent clinicians; Bachelor's degree in Social Work for LSW candidates
Willing and comfortable working with clients from a range of cultural backgrounds, including immigrants and international students navigating cross-cultural adjustment
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding standards.
Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions
Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and clinical documentation standards.
Develop comprehensive treatment plans aligned with clinical ethical guidelines, including progress notes, medical records, and documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems.
Experience
Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in outpatient settings;
Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and trauma-focused interventions.
Experience delivering telehealth therapy services using secure platforms while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Knowledge of clinical research methods and data collection practices related to mental health outcomes.
Ability to perform mental health assessments utilizing ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9) for accurate diagnosis documentation.
Strong understanding of clinical documentation standards for medical records and medical terminology related to behavioral health.
Prior experience working with diverse populations.
Compensation & Immigration Support
Compensation follows a fee-split model, ranging from 48% to 80% of session revenue, depending on licensure level and years of clinical experience, with higher splits for independently licensed and more experienced clinicians.
We are able to support CPT, OPT, and STEM OPT extension for eligible candidates
For candidates who demonstrate strong performance, we will evaluate the possibility of H-1B sponsorship (subject to position terms, compensation, and organizational eligibility at that time)
Pay: $58.00 - $100.00 per hour
