Senior Accountant

Job Purpose
This position is intended to perform the necessary Finance & Accounting activities in their focus area with minimal management oversight & a high degree of independence. Core responsibilities include but are not limited to month end closing entries, account reconciliation & analysis, process management & improvement and ad-hoc assignments in support of the Director Finance & Accounting or VP Finance.

Job Description
Duties and responsibilities
Assist in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring transactions are in accordance with GAAP, JSOX, and internal policies and procedures are followed
Prepare monthly journal entries and support, in line with communicated closing schedule
Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and analysis
Assist with analyzing financial statements and provide recommendations to improve business performance or efficiency
Prepare documentation & support internal and external audit requirements as needed
Collaborate cross-functionally to manage & improve financial, business & internal control processes on a continuous basis
Perform ad-hoc assignments or special project work for the Director Finance & Accounting or the VP Finance
Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
6+ years of Finance & Accounting experience
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Strong organization and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent MS Excel skills; SAP experience preferred.
Must be flexible to work late hours if needed.

Close Vision: The ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less.
Travel
Occasional (up to 25%) travel may be required based on business need.
