As a Blake Construction Superintendent you will lead all field operations including managing subcontractors, reviewing work in place for quality and conformance, overseeing safety protocols, and ensuring project schedules and budgets are met. You will serve as the primary on-site leader, ensuring smooth coordination among teams and delivering projects that reflect our commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of on-site construction, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications
Ensure work in place is of quality and conforms to construction documents
Manage and schedule subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries to meet project deadlines
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance
Monitor and report on project progress, addressing challenges proactively
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve technical issues
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
Develop and foster strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients
Track subcontracts and insurance prior to work on site
Develop and maintain project schedules, provide weekly look aheads
Generate pre-punch and punch lists, determine responsible subcontractor for each item and follow up with subcontractor(s) to ensure timely completion
Champion relationships; build, strengthen and maintain relationships with clients, owners, architects and other project stakeholders
What we’re looking for
10+ years of experience as a commercial Construction Superintendent
Willingness to travel
A strong understanding of construction means and methods
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage diverse teams effectively
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities under tight deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all project stakeholders
Can do attititude
