Role Description This is a contract, remote role for a Health Insurance Agent. The agent will consult with prospective and existing clients to assess healthcare coverage needs, explain plan options, and recommend suitable health insurance and Medicare products. Day-to-day tasks include conducting phone and virtual appointments, providing clear information about benefits, costs, and eligibility, and assisting clients with applications and enrollment processes. The agent will maintain accurate records in CRM or agency management systems, follow up on leads, respond to client inquiries, and ensure all activities comply with regulatory and carrier requirements. Collaboration with internal teams, staying current on product changes and industry regulations, and meeting performance and quality standards are essential aspects of the role.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong domain knowledge in Insurance, Health Insurance, and Medicare.
Candidates should possess skills in Insurance Brokerage, including working with multiple carriers and products.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for client consultations, education, and follow-up.
Active state health insurance license (and, where applicable, Medicare-related certifications) or ability to obtain them promptly.
Experience in health insurance sales, client advising, or related financial services is highly beneficial.
Proficiency with remote work tools, CRM systems, and basic office software; strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adhere to ethical, compliant sales practices.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, healthcare, or related fields is a plus.
