Role Description The General Manager role at I K HANDICRAFT is a full-time, on-site position based in Moradabad. The General Manager will oversee daily operations, including production planning, quality control, inventory management, and coordination across manufacturing, export, and supply functions. This role involves leading teams, setting performance goals, and ensuring that processes align with company standards for craftsmanship, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction. The General Manager will manage vendor and client relationships, monitor budgets, and support strategic initiatives to drive business growth and market expansion. The position also requires reporting on operational performance to leadership and implementing continuous improvements in workflow, safety, and efficiency.
Qualifications
Strong leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, performance management, and cross-functional coordination.
Operational and business management skills such as production planning, supply chain oversight, inventory control, and process optimization.
Experience in quality assurance and product standards, ideally within handicrafts, home décor, manufacturing, or related industries.
Commercial and client-facing skills, including basic export operations knowledge, vendor management, negotiation, and customer relationship management.
Analytical and organizational skills, including budget monitoring, reporting, data-driven decision-making, and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Hindi and local languages is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a senior operations or general management role in manufacturing, handicrafts, or consumer goods.
Ability to work on-site in Moradabad and adapt to a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
