Role Description The Accounts Payable Manager (Remote) is a full-time role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounts payable function. This role manages invoice processing, payment scheduling, and vendor account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness. The Accounts Payable Manager reviews and approves journal entries and accruals related to payables, maintains organized documentation, and supports month-end and year-end closing activities. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring AP aging reports, resolving discrepancies with vendors, collaborating with project and finance teams, and implementing process improvements. The role requires proactive communication, strong attention to detail, and adherence to company policies and relevant accounting standards while working independently in a remote environment.
Qualifications
Strong Accounting knowledge, including journal entries and accruals, and the ability to manage the full accounts payable cycle.
Finance and Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, analyze variances, and support budgeting and cost control efforts.
Proficiency with accounting or ERP software, spreadsheets, and general office productivity tools.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote setting.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with vendors and internal teams.
Prior experience in accounts payable management or a similar role; construction industry experience is a plus.
Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.
