Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Support Worker SEN/LD at T Lives Healthcare Ltd. The Support Worker will provide person-centered support to individuals with SEN and LD, promoting independence and empowering them to make choices in their daily lives. Day-to-day tasks may include assisting with daily routines, offering emotional support, helping individuals access community resources and online activities, and supporting communication and social interaction. The role involves recording and updating support plans, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure continuity of care. The Support Worker will follow relevant policies and procedures, safeguard individuals, and contribute to continuous improvement in care and outcomes.
Qualifications
Experience or strong interest in supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs and Learning Disabilities, with a person-centered and empathetic approach.
Good communication skills, including the ability to listen actively, adapt communication styles, and build positive relationships with individuals, families, and professionals.
Organizational and time-management skills to plan support activities, maintain accurate records, and manage part-time remote responsibilities effectively.
Basic digital literacy and comfort using remote communication tools, electronic records, and online resources to support individuals and coordinate with the wider team.
Knowledge of safeguarding principles, professional boundaries, and relevant care standards, with a commitment to promoting safety, dignity, and respect.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while remaining accountable and responsive to guidance from senior staff.
Previous experience in health, social care, education, or community support is beneficial, particularly in SEN/LD settings.
Relevant training or qualifications in health and social care, support work, or related fields are desirable; willingness to undertake ongoing training is essential.
