Social Media Coordinator

The National Defense Society (NDS) is looking for a Social Media Coordinator to help lead communications, marketing, publicity, PR, and social media for our growing national network.
You’ll help shape how NDS shows up publicly, from content strategy and organizational messaging to media outreach and communications across our growing network of university chapters. This role will have significant creative freedom and the opportunity to help build NDS’s public presence from the ground up.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute social media and content strategy.
Create and publish content across NDS platforms.
Support publicity, media outreach, and organizational communications.
Promote NDS programs, events, partnerships, and chapter activities.
Coordinate with NDS leadership and university chapters to maintain consistent messaging and identify opportunities for growth.
Qualifications
Strong writing and communication skills.
Familiarity with social media, communications, marketing, or PR.
Creative, self-directed, and comfortable taking ownership of projects.
Interest in national security, defense, foreign policy, or related fields is preferred.
