Purpose of Position
Lead the execution of tuck-in acquisitions involving advisors joining an existing Carson location. Manage transactions from initial evaluation through due diligence, closing, and onboarding. Develop financial analyses, valuations, and transaction structures that reflect the economics and strategic considerations of each opportunity. Coordinate internal partners, external advisors, participating Carson locations, and prospective advisors to keep transactions moving efficiently. Support a consistent, well-managed acquisition experience while maintaining appropriate financial, operational, and risk standards.
Essential Functions
Transaction Execution: Own the execution of tuck-in acquisitions from opportunity handoff through closing and onboarding. Develop transaction plans, establish timelines, coordinate deliverables, and ensure responsibilities and next steps remain clear throughout the process.
Valuation and Deal Structuring: Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of prospective advisor practices. Develop financial models, valuations, business cases, and recommended transaction structures based on the opportunity’s financial profile, strategic fit, and transition considerations.
Due Diligence: Lead the due diligence process in partnership with internal and external subject matter experts. Coordinate the collection and review of financial, operational, legal, compliance, technology, client, and personnel information and escalate material findings or risks.
Negotiation and Approval: Support or lead negotiations regarding valuation, transaction structure, financial terms, transition expectations, and other deal considerations. Prepare proposals, letters of intent, term sheets, approval materials, and transaction summaries for prospective advisors and organizational leadership.
Closing and Onboarding Coordination: Coordinate transaction documentation, closing requirements, and readiness activities with legal counsel, internal partners, the receiving Carson location, and the prospective advisor. Develop integration and onboarding plans that support an effective transition of advisors, team members, clients, assets, and business operations.
Process Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of active, inactive, and completed transactions. Monitor transaction progress, identify risks or delays, provide regular updates to M&A leadership, and improve tools, templates, and processes used to execute tuck-in acquisitions.
Other Duties: Perform additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities as needed or assigned by leadership to support departmental and organizational objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field required.
Minimum five years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, advisor recruiting, business development, financial services, wealth management, or a related field required.
Experience supporting or leading transactions through valuation, structuring, due diligence, negotiation, closing, and integration planning required.
Strong financial modeling, valuation, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.
Ability to synthesize financial, operational, and performance data into concise business cases, presentations, and decision frameworks required.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and concurrent transactions required.
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills required.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and identify and escalate material transaction risks required.
Ability to travel as needed for advisor meetings, due diligence, and onsite visits required.
Experience executing acquisitions or advisor transitions within wealth management, registered investment advisers, or the broader financial services industry preferred.
Experience evaluating advisor practices using revenue, assets under management, client demographics, retention, profitability, and other operating metrics preferred.

The Total Rewards Expected For This Role Include
Starting annual base salary between $100,000-$120,000
Variable compensation potential (Bonus)
